Urban Hydration was founded by husband-and-wife entrepreneurs Psyche and Vontoba Terry with a shared belief that personal care should be thoughtful, effective and accessible.

But for the Terrys, skincare isn't just business.

It's personal.

Psyche's own experience with sensitive skin began in childhood. As she and Vontoba built a family, they experienced firsthand how different skin needs can show up under one roof—from dryness and sensitivity to acne, irritation and the appearance of hyperpigmentation.

Those experiences continue to shape the products they create and the direction of Urban Hydration.

WHY HYDRATION?

Through their personal experiences and continued learning about skin, Psyche and Vontoba became increasingly focused on the importance of hydration and supporting the skin's moisture barrier.

That understanding helped shape Urban Hydration's approach today: derm-inspired, plant-powered skincare created to hydrate, calm and support sensitive skin.

With special attention to irritation, inflammation and the appearance of hyperpigmentation, they are building products around the concerns they see in their own family and in the communities they serve.
