Urban Hydration was founded by husband-and-wife entrepreneurs Psyche and Vontoba Terry, but for us, skincare has always been personal.

Psyche has lived with sensitive, eczema-prone skin since childhood. Then, as she and Vontoba became parents, they began seeing different skin concerns across our their family—from dryness and sensitivity to breakouts, irritation and the appearance of hyperpigmentation.

They didn't believe caring for their skin should require harsh products or complicated routines filled with things they didn't need. Here's what they said:

We wanted skincare that started somewhere simpler: hydration.

That's the belief behind Urban Hydration today.

WHY HYDRATION?

We believe hydration is one of the foundations of healthy-looking skin.

That's why we create simple, plant-powered skincare with derm-inspired ingredients to help skin feel calm, hydrated and balanced—with special attention to the concerns we know personally: irritation, inflammation and the appearance of hyperpigmentation.

Our formulas pair familiar plants like Aloe and Coconut with ingredients dermatologists talk about, including Niacinamide, Hyaluronic Acid and Ceramides, while intentionally leaving out 530+ ingredients we don't believe our routines need.

HYDRATION IS A LIFESTYLE.

For us, that means caring for skin consistently—not attacking it.
