A Walmart store in Los Angeles is causing the company to face a discrimination lawsuit.
A customer said that hair and skin products for African Americans in this store were locked in a glass box, and untouchable until a customer was ready to purchase the products. Moreover, she was accompanied by a Walmart employee all the way to the register. This situation only apply for products for African Americans, not other haircare products.
A Walmart employee said they did this with direction from the corporate office, but a corporate spokesperson denied this charge.
Now the case is under serious investigation by Walmart, as they are sensitive to these issues.
