I just visited my doctor today and gave her 2 movie passes after my check up. I was there on a sick visit because I too, just like all of her other thousands of cases this month was in for a possible flu virus check up. She looked so sad and overwhelmed. There were so many sneezes in the room I felt out right sorry for her. My two free movie passes I tell you simply had her name on it!
But she isn’t alone in this world of over worked doctor’s offices. Drug Store News reports that in the past 3 weeks the cases have increased so much that the country rates “severe.” That’s right on a scale of 1 - 10 with 10 being most severe the overall country is at 9.5 based on national averages of doctor visits in three weeks.
Here are the areas with the most visits:
The Doctors Report Illness Tracker draws from a national database of doctor-diagnosed and reported cases over a period of the past seven days. Specific metros are listed according to the Doctors Report illness severity scale, with 10 being most severe and 0 being least severe:
- Boston-Cambridge-Newton, MA-NH at 9.5;
- Charlotte-Concord-Gastonia, NC-SC at 9.5;
- Philadelphia-Camden-Wilmington, PA-NJ-DE-MD at 9.5;

Severity of flu 9.5 on scale of 10, DoctorsReport.com notes
I can happily report I’m Flu free and will be at the movies tonight to see this blockbuster. As for other people that are affected and certainly people in the states above, they are not alone. Tons are out sick. Stay home if you are and constantly wash those hands and cover your mouths so more people don’t get infected by this terrible virus!
